Were you disappointed to find an irrelevant X-Men: Days of Future Past clip during the credits of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 instead of something that would further inform audiences of Spider-Man’s future? The folks over at GeekTyrant have discovered the post-credit scene that was filmed but ultimately cut out of the final product. This was most likely due to the favor Sony owed Fox for stealing Director Marc Webb to direct their Spider-Man franchise.

Spoilers below

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 post-credit scene shows the shadowed man Mr. Fiers at the secret Oscorp level walking away from a cryogenically stored head belonging to Norman Osborn (Chris Cooper).

Did Sony have further plans for the talented actor Chris Cooper? Could he possibly return as another Green Goblin or a Hobgoblin in the future? One thing is for sure, fans would have loved to see this scene in theaters instead of a Fox clip.
