Cut Chemist to play San Francisco's Mezzanine

Cut Chemist's hiatus is officially over. The acclaimed producer and ace turntablist is set to play his first headlining tour since 2006, which rolls into San Francisco's Mezzanine Thursday, August 18th. The Tunnel Vision Tour is a concept audio-visual performance Cut Chemist has been tweaking for the last few years and will also feature performances from Mr. Lif and Edan

In addition to performing tracks from his forthcoming release, fans can expect to hear selections from Cut Chemist's live mix CD, Sound of  the Police. In addition to being a nod to the classic Boogie Down Productions track, this mix was inspired by Ethiopia's military bands.

Since his 2006 debut solo release The Audiences Listening, Cut Chemist has released several mixes with DJ Shadow in addition to collaborating with director Jason Reitman in Juno and Up in the Air. As a founding member of Ozomatli and Jurasisc 5, Cut is known for constantly pushing the parameters of DJ culture.
