Customized 1939 Chevy Custom Coupe captures gold at Hot Rod Trade Show

Jason Graham Hotrods, Portland, TN, merited top honors by winning the 2014 Golden Builder Award for its “heavily” customized 1939 Chevy Custom Coupe at the 16th annual Hotrod & Restoration Trade Show, at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis March 26-28.

The car,owed by Harley Tucker of Morgantown, KY, featured a “5-inch chop and conversion to a three-window,” as well as a modified 1960 Impala dash and distressed maroon leather seatsas well as a “custom mixed DuPont “smoke” paint job and pinstriping by Dick Harris, not to mention a “348 Chevy engine with 6 ‘super’ 93s on top, and a 700R overdrive transmission, on full air ride suspension,” according to show organizers.

In addition to the 50 fabulous vehicles including hot rods, muscle cars and light trucks on display in the exhibit hall, the Hot Rod Restoration Trade Show featured awards for product innovation as well as a number of highly informative technical seminars for industry insiders.
