At the heart of every business is the customer service department. In the United States, the service sector makes up 68% of the GDP and four out of five jobs. It is one of the most vital pieces to any industry but seems that more and more consumers are unhappy with the customer support they get from even their favorite companies. Only 37% of brands are rated by customers as being at or above "good" the other 64% are rated at "okay" and below. Dissatisfied customers are likely to tell more than 20 people about their negative experience and 89% of customers will switch to a vendor's competitor after a bad customer experience and never look back. Yes still, just 26% of companies have well-developed plans in place for improving the quality of their customer service departments.
