A Customer Service Associate I position is available at Lowe's Company. The position is responsible for providing quick, friendly customer service by answering the customers questions, and providing purchase assistance, also keeping the shelves stocked with the necessary supplies. The person will be assigned to one area on the sales floor, however they may be required to work in some other areas.
The work schedule would require morning, afternoons and evenings hours on any day of the week. You woud be assigned to operate and demonstrate and explain the merchandise in your area to the customer, as they ask for help. The candidate would be having to use basic mathematical concepts such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and a good knowledge of weights and measures.
The candidate would also be expected to understand and respond to basic customer and employee inquiries. This means to be able to read, write and communicate using the English language. You would need the ability to operate and store the equipment in your assigned area, such as LRT, telephone, paging system, copiers, fax machines, computers, CCTV surveillance system, key cutting, panel jacks, electric lifts, etc.
You would also have to interpret price tag and UPC information and the ability to move throughout all areas of the store, sales floor, receiving, register areas, lawn and garden, including the outside perimeter of the store.
The position requires that you work in both the inside and outside environmental conditions. You must have the physical ability to move large, bulky and or heavy merchandise. The position may require that you have the ability to perform tasks that require prolonged standing, sitting and other activities as necessary to perform the job duties.
