Well, I may not be able to promise hot girls, even though the Ducati girls were very nice looking, I can promise you some custom bikes at this year’s International Motorcycle Show sponsored by Progressive Insurance.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the International Motorcycle Show and they are promising a whole redesign of the event. For instance, the Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show will allow custom bike builders to showcase their hard work. Through the International Motorcycle Show (IMS) the custom builders will have exposure to approximately 600,000 motorcyclists. This is a major exposure for anyone who is just trying to break into the scene.
There will be three categories in the custom bike competition, freestyle, modified Harley or performance custom. The judging will be done by all the competitors, but there will be a “People’s Choice” award, where the attendees will also vote for their favorite.
There is limited space for entrants for this competition, so interested builders should log onto the Ultimate Builder Competition page of the IMS website to see all the rules and conditions, sign up for a spot or to pay your registration fee. There are also examples of some of the bikes that will be showing.
The Seattle show will be Dec. 10-12 at the Qwest Field Event Center, 800 Occidental Ave.
