Custo Barcelona's inspirations for fall 2011

Custo Barcelona is this the same designer who gave us fur, feathers and glitter last season. If you expected a similar show for Fall 2011 you were pleasantly surprise by the new creative genius Custo brings to his new collection.

Layered looks, fringe details on shoes, vests and skirts, decorated boots and heels. Special emphasis on embroidery detailing and textured wools was served up fresh for Fall 2011.

Mixed media has always been a strong point for the Designer who can match fabrics and textures into signature pieces that can't be duplicated anywhere.

Unconventional, Custo presented a collection of textured, layered, looks that emphasized on four inspiration muses:

SWEET UNIFORM

One of the sources of inspiration for this collection is a reinterpretation of the military look, put through a 'sweet' filter.

TEXTURE DOLL

From B-movie grunge to Camden boho and from rebel undergrads to goth Lolitas. These girls are rich kids that behave badly, unkempt, uncaring, sure of themselves and of being different.

This group features the three-dimensional aspects of the graphics and the fabrics used. Few pieces transmit a message of such marked coherence and Custo personality. A language of its own, with elements designed to work autonomously, enhanced by combinations of stunning, unusual colours.

LONDON CALLING

Behind every collection is a great song, a powerful cultural fragment with a touch of the rebellious.

Hand made quality and the one of a kind look is the Custo signature and continues to be a source of power for him. To shop the Spring 2011 collection check out www.custobarcelona.com.
