Victoria's Secret model Kate Upton, 19, has been the named the cover girl for the iconic 2012 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.
The buxom 5'10" blonde beauty is a departure from the super-skinny swimswear models typically hailed by Victoria's Secret and Sports Illustrated.
In March 2011, South African model Candice Swanepoel made headlines after looking skeletal at a press event for Victoria's Secret.
The reed-thin 5'10" Swanepoel vehemently denied speculation that she was suffering from an eating disorder, but stirred criticism that Victoria's Secret was promoting an unhealthy body image.
Since then, the lingerie brand has made an effort to promote a "more attainable" physique by spotlighting the curvier, rounder Kate Upton. The Florida-born stunner, an accomplished winning equestrian, eats well and works out regularly, doing Pilates, boxing and strength-training.
