A Beka offers several options for homeschoolers. For starters, they have a video option from their academy. Then they have another program through their academy for grades K-6 that has you as the teacher but A Beka keeping report cards and transcripts. It is a fully accredited program, as well. The final option, and the most popular, is the traditional textbook/materials for home schools. By teaching this way, you can customize what you need for your child by choosing the books and supplemental materials for grades K-12. You can purchase fully-laid out lesson plan books so that all of the work is done for you along with teacher guides/answer keys.
Another great thing about using A Beka is that they come to our area several times a year and host curriculum shows which they refer to as 'material displays'. They come to local hotels for a day and set up a large variety of their curriculum so that you can go and shop and touch and see everything and order directly from them on the spot.
