Coming soon to Charlotte are two shows that families should consider now if they want to get decent seats.
Based on the popular PBS program, Curious George Live hits Bojangles Coliseum March 12-14, 2010. In his first live stage show, monkey Curious George will explore his neighborhood and his world with his friends the Man in the Yellow Hat, Hundley the not-so-adventurous dachshund and more. The show will feature music and dancing production numbers. Tickets can be purchased online and are $15-55/person. Of note, this month's Charlotte Parent magazine has a discount keyword to try when purchasing your tickets. Enter the word "PARENTS" to get that discount.
Also in March, the North Carolina Dance Theatre will present Cinderella, March 4-7 and March 11-14. Dancing to a score composed by Sergei Prokofiev, 60 dancers will tell the story of Cinderella, a young girl who goes from being a lonely servant in her own home to a beautiful princess. The ballet is told in three acts in different settings from the little cottage, to a magical garden and, of course, the fancy ball at the King’s palace. Tickets are $20-74/person and are available online. The performance will be presented at the brand new Knight Theatre.
