Curiosity rover finds 'flower' on Mars (Video)

NASA's Curiosity rover found a "flower" on Mars, according to a Jan. 5 Space report. The so-called "flower" was embedded in a Martian rock, and the latest Curiosity photos have gotten people talking.

The Mars Hand Lends Imager snapped the "flower" picture on Dec. 19. The spot that is being called a "flower" is a transparent part of the rock formation. Even if the rover did not find a flower, it is still an incredibly interesting picture. Curiosity is able to more closely examine Mars than any other rover has ever been able to do.

In addition, the Curiosity snapped a picture of a "snake-like" formation of rocks that winds across the surface of Mars. Further investigation of this feature will likely shed more light on exactly what it is.

The most interesting thing is that one day in the fairly close future humans will be on Mars investigating these features that can only be speculated about right now.
