Pastry Chef Heather Rousseau owner of Sugar High Bakery, winner of TLC’s Cupcake Wars, helped the Sophomore class of Bridgeport Baptist Academy win big in the schools Spirit Week.
For students of Bridgeport Baptist Academy spirit week is a week filled with competition, class pride, and school spirit. Classes compete by creating displays, skits, giant posters and songs. Every day of competition has a different theme, and Thursday, the 14th of February 2013, was Frankenmuth Day.
Elaborate displays showcased Zhenders' Snow Fest, the Frankenmuth Belle Riverboat, the Fudge Hause, the Bavarian Inn clock tower, and a replica of Sugar High Bakery.
Samantha Evans, sponsor of the Sophmore class contacted Sugar High Pastry Chef Dawn and Heather about the project. They graciously allowed the Sophomore class to come to the Sugar High Bakery, take pictures, replicate banners, and even use some of their famous recipes to create a fantastic array of cupcakes. In addition, Dawn and Heather attended the festivities and brought with them their Cautro Leche’ cupcakes, the cupcakes that helped secure their legacy as Cupcake Wars winners.
The replica of Sugar High’s Bakery, along with the cupcakes were a huge hit and the Sophomore class was thrilled to win first place in the competition. It was truly a sweet Valentines Day for the Sophomore class of Bridgeport Baptist Academey.
