Cupcake Love-In 2010 presents "Peace, Love & Cupcakes" in this first-ever upcake fundraising event in Arizona, to be held 10.10.10 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hotel Valley Ho in Old Town Scottsdale.
Cupcake Love-In is a family-friendly event that celebrates a timeless favorite -- the cupcake -- all in the name of two great causes. An amazing 100% of the sales at the Cupcake Love-In goes to Singleton Moms and Safe Haven for Animals. Singleton Moms is a non-profit that helps single parents in their battles against cancer by providing day-to-day support. Safe Haven for Animals is a no-kill, non-profit animal shelter servicing the entire Phoenix area.
Cupcake Love-In is the brainchild of founders Kelly Garcia of Butter and Me Cupcakery and Tracy Dempsey of Tracy Dempsey Originals. The duo wanted an event that supported the local community in this difficult economy, while providing something fun for all ages.
The Cupcake Love-In, to be held on 10.10.10 at Scottsdale's Valley Ho, has 32 participants from across the Valley. Activities for the day include:
- Cupcake sampling
- Cupcake judging competition
- Kids' decorating stations (which can be enjoyed by kids of all ages)
- Cupcake eating contest for the adults
- Photo booth sponsored by Snapbooth.com
- Cupcake decorating demonstrations at the Viking Stage
- Door prizes
- Raffle drawings emceed by ABC 15's Andi Barness
Tickets for the Cupcake Love-In are $10 in advance, $15 at the door. Children 6 and under are free. Purchase tickets online at http://cupcakelovein.com. You will also find a fun selection of logo t-shirts, posters, and charms on the website.
