A highly sensitive population around Nashville and Davidson County took a collective sigh of relief as the Cumberland River has peaked just below flood stage.

Obviously, it was quite important for the Army Corps of Engineers to get this right and to communicate it properly after the devastating May floods. In a story from WKRN, they promised to do much better. 

All flood warnings have been canceled.
