Culinary Masters Series features Chef John Sedlar at Strand House

The Strand House presents the next event of the Culinary Masters Series on Monday, April 7 featuring Chef John Sedlar of Riviera Restaurant.

Over three decades ago, Chef Sedlar’s Saint Estèphe restaurant in Manhattan Beach became the birthplace of Modern Southwest Cuisine. This bold and creative new style of cooking quickly won acclaim in Los Angeles, across the U.S. and around the world.

This Chef/Owner of four-star rated Rivera in downtown L.A. will be recreating some of the most popular dishes from his legendary South Bay establishment.

Each course will be paired with wines from Mumm Napa, Trefethen Family Winery, Ceja Vineyards, Comstock Wines, Faust by Huneeus Vinters and Robert Mondavi Vineyards. In attendance will be winemakers and winery associates to comment on each pour.

The cocktail reception begins at 6:30 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m.

The cost is $100 per person for dinner and $50 for wine pairings exclusive of tax and 20% service charge.
