Culinaria is a San Antonio wine and culinary festival that promotes local chefs, wines and supports culinary students. The organization was formed over 10 years ago and there is a wide variety of activities and events to look forward to this year. Here is a sample of what is coming.

For the month of March, the big event is a 5K Wine and Beer Run that takes place on March 22, 2014 at The Shops at La Cantera. The start time is 8:00 a.m. and this is the 4th year for the run set around the hill country and shopping area. The post race is ready with entertainment and tasty treats. Packet pick up starts March 12th. Check the link above for registration and further details. Sounds like a great reason to get fit and to volunteer. For more information on volunteers needed to pour wine and check in attendees, see the form online or call 210-822-9555 or email

The Culinaria Festival Week is May 14th-18th, where San Antonio chefs promote a premier dining experience.

The Food Truck Event is May 15th at the HEB Alon Market on N.W. Military Road from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This is a fun family event, tickets are $10 for over 21 and $5 for under 21, and that provides admission and drinks. Entertainment and gourmet cuisine are set under the stars, just bring a lawn chair and enjoy an outdoor movie and a variety of local foods.

Some of the local corporate sponsors for these events include, HEB, Pearl, Jason Dady, La Gloria, San Antonio Living, Becker Vineyards and Glazer's.
