Cuesta Rey Centro Fino Sungrown #60 - cigar review

Cuesta Rey Centro Fino cigar bands
  • Length: 6 inches
  • Ring Gauge: 50
  • Wrapper: Ecuador Sumatra sungrown
  • Binder: Dominican
  • Filler: Dominican

The Centro Fino Sungrown has a creamy, medium brown wrapper with an occasional fine vein. The cigar is firm to touch with no soft spots. The cigar gives off an aroma of leather, earthy tobacco and spice.

A clip of the well formed cap and a pre-light draw gave me an unobstructed flow of air and a hint of the spice and kick of this blend.

The cigar lit easily and burned well throughout the entire smoking session. Each puff brought forth a good amount of satisfying smoke. To me, the Centro Fino blend is very unique. There is a distinct flavor / sensation that I experience each time I exhale through my nose that I only get with this cigar. It’s a spicy / peppery flavor that I can only associate with this cigar.

On a whole, this is a very consistent cigar, there’s not much of a strength buildup as you go along but, the flavor is good all the way through.

The Cuesta Rey Centro Fino Sungrown is by far my favorite sungrown blend. I think it is a great value for the price and I try to smoke these as often as I can.
