Cue the duckboats!

For the first time since 1972 the Boston Bruins have brought home Lord Stanley's Cup.  After bringing 3 playoff rounds to 7 games, this group of astounding men; aged 19-43, have defeated the Vancouver Canucks and brought yet another championship to Massachusetts.  With the Celtics winning one Championship, the Red Sox having won two World Series, and the Patriots winning three Superbowls, all within the past decade, the Bruins are now on this same level with their one Stanley Cup.

Tim Thomas, the Bruins' goaltender marked all playoffs long by his unorthodox, unordinary (extraordinary) skills in the goal, was deservingly named the 2011 recipient of the Conn Smythe (MVP of Stanley Cup Playoffs) Trophy.

The duckboats are scheduled to hit the streets of Boston for the traditional championship parade on Friday.  In the case of rain, the parade will reportedly be postponed until Monday.  Hopefully the men have shaven by the time they parade through the city to be seen and photographed by thousands of fans and spectators!
