Cucumber dill sauce recipe for seafood

Cucumber Dill Sauce Ingredients

Grilled tuna, swordfish and salmon are screaming for this mild, yet tangy cool cucumber dill sauce! Made with lemon yogurt, fresh dill and cucumber, this sauce is perfect for grilled seafood!

Cucumber Dill Sauce and Seafood

I originally made this sauce for grilled salmon, but soon realized it was the perfect accompanianment for any type of seafood, especially grilled fish. Maybe it's the cool with the hot that tastes so good, or it could be the contrasting textures. Whatever it is, it's just right with Grilled Yellowfin Tuna!

The Cucumber Dill Sauce is quick & easy and takes only minutes to prepare in the food processor. It lasts for a few days when kept refrigerated, so you can make it ahead and have it again later in the week. I make it with lemon yogurt and light mayo, not just to cut down on fat and calories, but the lemon yogurt gives it such a nice flavor.

Cucumber Dill Sauce Recipe

  • 1) 8 ounce container fat-free lemon yogurt
  • 1 cup light mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup peeled and diced cucumber
  • 1/4 cup fresh dill
  • 1/2 tsp minced garlic (to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp fresh grated lemon zest (to taste)
  • Pinch salt

How To Make Cucumber Dill Sauce

  • Empty the yogurt into the food processor.
  • Put the remaining ingredients in the food processor and blend until smooth and there are no cucumber chunks left.
  • Refrigerate until ready to use.
