Last year the University of Colorado at Boulder decided to end their journalism program. Many alumni who had graduated with a journalism degree were pretty upset when they heard this. It has always been a well recognized major at CU and closing it down make it seem like the school was eliminating it from their curriculum altogether. Well, today the University announced that they have a new program in place that will help interested students take their journalism skills to a new level. CU-Boulder’s Journalism Plus Program is evolving into something stronger and better. They expect to produce journalists who have the intellectual skills necessary to cover specific content areas and the technical skills to produce content across a broad spectrum of media.
