CT folk/bluegrass legend to appear tonight,May 20th, at Cafe Nine in New Haven

Nationally renowned folk/bluegrass singer/songwriter, Phil Rosenthal, will make a solo appearance tonight at Cafe Nine in New Haven,CT tonight. Rosenthal was the founding member of the legendary bluegrass band, The Seldom Scene. He has written a number of songs for various recording artists, including Johnny Cash. He is an accomplished instrumentalist as well, versatile on banjo and mandolin.

Rosenthal concurred that there is a renaissance of bluegrass/folk music in the state now, "It never disappears, and it becomes wildly popular.Right now there's more interest than I can remember."
