Carmine Giovinazzo has earned the reputation as one of the most polite celebrities to ever be arrested for a DUI. According to a Jan. 30 TMZ report, Carmine profusely thanked police officer for their respectful treatment.
Giovinazzo plays Danny Messer on “CSI: NY.” Carmine was pulled over in Arizona on Jan. 21 for swerving. Giovinazzo told police he was swerving because he was lost and concentrating on the GPS to try to find his way.
Police noticed Carmine had alcohol on his breath, bloodshot eyes and was slurring his speech. Giovinazzo admitted he had been drinking Scotch at the W hotel and apologized profusely for trouble.
Carmine was eventually arrested on DUI charges. The arresting offer said Giovinazzo repeatedly apologized, saying he didn’t want to be an “a**hole.” Carmine also tanked police for treating him respectfully and not like a criminal.
We certainly didn’t hear reports like this when other stars, such as Charlie Sheen or Lindsay Lohan, were arrested. Carmine Giovinazzo may just be one of the nicest people – celebrity or otherwise – to be arrested for a DUI.
