Carmine Giovinazzo, the “CSI: NY” star, was arrested for a DUI on Jan. 2. According to Us Weekly on Jan. 31, Giovinazzo was pulled over in a white Jeep Wrangler and failed his field sobriety test and a Breathalyzer.
Giovinazzo was driving the Jeep Wrangler and had two passengers when someone called the police about an impaired driver. The police observed him drifting across three lanes and pulled him over.
The police officer did write in his report that Giovinazzo was very polite and “immediately apologetic.” Before admitting that he had drank some scotch with friends at the W Hotel, he told the police officer that he was fooling with his GPS and that is why he had swerved.
Carmine Giovinazzo did get great feedback from the arresting officer in his report. The officer made a note of writing that Giovinazzo thanked him many times for showing him respect and not treating him like a criminal. It is nice to hear a good outcome from both sides. The “CSI: NY” star acted civil and not like some celebrities when they are arrested and the police officer also did his part by being polite and showing respect.
