Clifton Collins Jr. had been playing somewhat of a bad guy on The Event on NBC 4 in Queens (he sacrificed himself so Sophia could live in the last new episode), and now he will be guest starring in another drama – this one on CBS 2. The actor has joined the cast of CSI: NY, airing Fridays at 9PM.
According to E! Online, Clifton Collins Jr. will be part of the two episodes, 20 and 21, which also feature Peter Fonda as a guest star. Episode 20 is titled "Nothing for Something" and episode 21 is "Life Sentence." Fonda will be playing Mac Taylor's ex-partner from when the Detective was a new member of the New York Police Department, and back then, "they dealt with things differently [and] always had a different perspective on law enforcement and how they do the job." He returns when an old case from their past comes up. Clifton Collins Jr. is part of that case, and "he plays an amazing nemesis."
The role of the nemesis isn't strange to this actor. That's the role he played to Laura Innes' Sophia and Blair Underwood's President Martinez on The Event this year.
Tune in to CBS 2 in Queens Fridays at 9PM for CSI: NY. Clifton Collins Jr.'s first episode will be airing April 29. How do you think the case from Mac's past will be revisited?
