With "Crysis 3" on the way, Electronic Arts started special deals Friday for the previous two installments in the first-person shooter series on the PC.
The original "Crysis" put PCs to the test when it was first released in 2008 but you can buy it and download it now from Origin for only $5. Set on a series of fictional islands near the Phillipines, the open-ended sandbox shooter sees the player battling North Koreans invading the islands along with the discovery of aliens.
"Crysis 2" continues the fight between the nano-suited player, extra-terrestrials and a human conspiracy at the same $5 price on Orign. This time, the series heads to the jungles of New York three years after the first game where a U.S. Marine is granted the Nanosuit 2.0 to put an end to alien threat.
The offer for both "Crysis" and "Crysis 2" at $5 each runs through Tuesday, Jan. 15 at 10 a.m. PST.
Origin is also currently offering the original "Dead Space" free when ordering "Dead Space 3" and a $10 off code when ordering the "SimCity Digital Deluxe Edition."
