Gamers looking forward to the next game in the "Crysis" series now have something to hold them over the last few weeks until the game gets released. Today the open beta for "Crysis 3" is available for everyone with an Xbox 360 or Playstation 3.
Of course, on the Xbox 360 side of the fence you need to be a Gold subscriber, but other then that everyone else and those on the Playstation 3 can get to downloading the "Crysis 3" beta and hop online and start taking people to task.
Two multiplayer modes are included in the beta. The first, Hunter, has cloaked players taking out CELL solider with bows. The other mode, Crash Site, had teams trying to capture and old pod locations across the map, basically it's Domination from "Call of Duty."
The beta will be running from today through February 12, plenty of time for people to jump in and get their feet wet. Of course any XP earned from the beta will be transferred over to the full game when it launches. Now's the time to find out if this third entry in the series will be worth it, and all you have to do is download the free beta.
"Crysis 3" will launch for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 on February 19, 2013.
