Crunch, the quirky, wild and wonderful, ‘no attitude’ workout factory in West Hollywood (and around the country) is all spruced up after a three-month remodel that transformed the locker rooms and workout areas with soft, soothing lighting and more modern fixtures.
The construction period, which took the entire summer, wasn’t exactly the most pleasant situation for members who had to rotate locker room days. Odd days were men’s days, even belonged to women. When one sex was banned from the locker room they had to use temporary equipment placed around the lobby and change clothes down in a restroom outside the club.
All systems were back to go last Friday, September 13, and cheers could be heard around the club. As it turns out the wait, and inconveniences were worth it. The locker rooms are all spiffied up. The women’s area sports new steam baths, saunas, tiling, sky lights and even an oddly placed flat screen TV. It was a much needed facelift and while most of the fitness junkies who go to the club probably could care less what it looks like as long it has the means to work out, the new look does make for a more pleasant environment.
Crunch is famous for its wacky (and effective) choreographed workouts and emphasis on extreme body toning and fitness. Epic classes include powerful workouts such as Pound, Tread Ride Bootcamp Extreme, action sports, dance rhythms such as Afro-Brazilian Dance, The Ride which offer new takes on spinning, BodyShred by Jillian Michaels and much more.
