Depending on your point of embarkation, your trip begins with a five star, two night, hotel stay in either the Park Hyatt in Saigon or the Intercontinental Westlake in Hanoi. Informative tours of the sights, sounds, tastes and culture of these bustling cities await you.

Your local guides accompany you on board the intimate, handcrafted, French Colonial style ship, the River Orchid, providing accommodations with luxury amenities for a maximum of 58 guests.

The cruise aboard the River Orchid affords you unlimited access to the local experts who are all too eager to answer every question and explain every nuance of their culture.

Life onboard includes delicious meals catering to every taste and dietary preference featuring authentic dishes of the area, as well as Western dishes at every meal.

Complimentary wine and spirits and other beverages during cocktail hours and at dinners make for easy conversation among the well-travelled passengers, who enjoy each other’s company, as well as the constantly changing river vistas observed from the sun terrace or stateroom balconies.

Daily excursions with a maximum of 20 people bring you into close proximity to life on the river—including floating markets, fishing huts, and villages noted for silk weaving, and aslo a visit to a brick making factory.

Among the included excursions is the UNESCO World Heritage site, Angkor Watt, which is typically an add-on with other Mekong river cruise companies.

Evenings aboard the River Orchid include local entertainment, lectures, documentaries and movies highlighting the area. Although wifi is available, many guests are so enthralled with the river vistas that they actually forget to check their email.

If you are longing to go back in time and experience the enchantment of Vietnam and Cambodia while enjoying all the comforts of luxury accommodations, let Uniworld be your guide!
