On Feb. 7, news that the cruise ship singer who was mysteriously found dead in her cabin when the luxury vessel docked in Darwin has authorities ruling out foul play. Although that call has been made, the quest is still on to find out what happened to 24-year-old Jackie Kastrinelis, according to ABC News, who says that the American victim's family is in Australia today.
This Connecticut-raised talent, who had been the lead singer aboard passenger liners since 2011, was said to have been practicing her craft the night before she was found dead on Sunday.
During that rehearsal, Jackie unfortunately suffered an injury to her head. Because of this, she was treated by the ship's doctor who gave her some medicine before Kastrinelis retired to her stateroom to go to bed.
As soon as her body was discovered on the ship, which has a crew of 447 and a passenger capacity of 700, the vessel and its surrounding waters in Darwin was established as a crime scene. This happened while an investigation regarding the circumstances of the untimely death of Jackie Kastrinelis was conducted, says Cruise Law News.
