A cruise ship bus breaks down while transporting passengers from Mobile, Ala. to New Orleans, LA on Thursday. On Feb. 15, NBC News reported that some passengers got stuck for an hour when the bus broke down, prolonging their trip from hell. All of the travelers on board had just been "rescued" from the Carnival cruise ship that was stranded at sea for 5 days.
Most people were just happy to be off the boat, which was an absolute nightmare for passengers who were forced to go to the bathroom in bags and eat onion sandwiches, but really this break down made the trip that much longer for some travelers who just wanted to get home.
So the bus carrying the cruise ship passengers breaks down leaving many saying "it figures" but other travelers just made the best of it. "I’m pretty tired. I don’t know, life gives you lemons — I guess you have to eat the lemons sometimes," said one passenger. "We survived it. We are here, we're on land. Thank God," added another.
The bus break down wasn't too bad as another bus was sent out within one hour to transport the passengers to their destination. While it certainly wasn't ideal, it wasn't as big of a problem for most of the people involved. Many remained focused on the fact that they were off the ship.
This cruise ship bus break down was the only one of the day. Several buses were transporting passengers from Galveston to various destinations and none had any reported problems.
