The Carnival Triumph left out of Galveston for an amazing vacation, but so far things are not turning out that way. On Feb. 11, Fox News reported that this ship is having a problem before they even made it to their first destination.
The ship had a fire in the engine room, but luckily nobody was injured and their were no fatalities from the incident. They are now using emergency power to keep going. The ship has told people to try to stay out of their rooms and stay in the commons areas because they do not have any air conditioning at all.
The Carnival Elation is there and they are making sure everyone gets food and beverages so they are not doing without while on the ship.
They are taking care of their passengers though. Everyone will get flown back home once they get pulled to Mexico. They will also get a refund for the cruise, future cruise credit for another cruise, and money back for every single purchase they had made on the ship already. Carnival is even going as far as to pay them back their transportation to get to the ship.
The Coast Guard’s Cutter Vigorous is going to arrive today to pull them in to Mexico.
