Royal Caribbean‘s Voyager of the Seas is coming to New Orleans, celebrating its return in a big way. On the largest ship ever to homeport in New Orleans, Royal Caribbean is inviting country music super-star Martina McBride along to perform on the ship’s inaugural sailing from the big easy.
The eight-time “Best Cruise Line Overall” award winner has teamed with Republic Nashville to treat invited guests to a special, live performance by one of country music’s most beloved artists, Martina McBride. Following the debut of her new album, ELEVEN, which hit stores on Oct. 11, 2011, the four-time CMA Female Vocalist of the Year is scheduled to perform for invited guests in Voyager of the Seas’ Lyric Theatre before the ship departs on its Western Caribbean Thanksgiving cruise.
Voyager of the Seas features Royal Caribbean’s iconic rock-climbing wall, the Studio B ice-skating rink, a nine-hole mini-golf course, an in-line skating track, a full-size basketball court, the Casino Royale, and the Royal Promenade, a boulevard of boutiques, restaurants, and bars and lounges, where exciting parades and dance parties are held.
Voyager of the Seas will offer seven-night Western Caribbean itineraries from New Orleans through April 2012, visiting Cozumel, Mexico; Falmouth, Jamaica; and George Town, Grand Cayman with fares starting at $499 per guest, double occupancy.
Royal Caribbean is also making it easier than ever before for Gulf Coast area residents to sail by bringing its ships to other Gulf Coast ports for the winter season, including Galveston, Texas; and Tampa, Fla. Guests can choose between two seven-night Western Caribbean itineraries onboard Mariner of the Seas from Galveston, starting at $530 per guest, double occupancy; or a selection of five-night and four-night Western Caribbean itineraries onboard Jewel of the Seas from Tampa, starting at $309 per guest, double occupancy.
