Cruel Feeding from 'Journey Into Nyx'

Cruel Feeding is a new common black "Magic: The Gathering" card from Wizards of the Coast's expert expansion set "Journey Into Nyx." In the right scenario this instant can act as a removal spell or in the best case scenario a game winner.

Cruel Feeding - B
Instant (Common)
Strive - Cruel Feeding costs 2B more to cast for each target beyond the first.
Any number of target creatures each get +1/+0 and gain lifelink until end of turn. (Damage dealt by a creature with lifelink also causes its controller to gain that life.)

Limited games often come down to a race, with many questions deciding the eventual outcome. Who can deal more damage first? Who has more removal spells? Who has bigger threats? Cruel Feeding can throw off your opponent's combat math be it on the defense or offense.

Because your rival may block your attacker using a creature with toughness of just one higher than yours, Cruel Feeding may allow you to destroy one or more of your adversary's creatures. That slight additional damage will add up if your creatures connect with your enemy, however its that valuable life gain that'll really turn the tide in your favor.

How will you use Cruel Feeding?
