Crude oil, Corexit and now, Snake Oil to fix it

Controversy has erupted along the Gulf Coast Wednesday after reports were confirmed that a man is selling bottles of pool shock to people poisoned from crude oil and Corexit. Up to 40 million people have been poisoned, many suffering standard neurotoxin exposure injuries that are so debilitating, they are buying what health professionals call snake-oil.

Gulf Coast region human rights defenders are dismayed about a bottled toxic liquid being sold for immediate relief to vulnerable people desperate for their right to health care, Article 25 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Since onset of the Gulf operation, that right has been violated by the U.S. government in collaboration with BP and the U.S. military represented by the Coast Guard.

While many people using the "alternative detox treatment" have been tight-lipped about it, the salesman selling the bottled chemicals, Wil Spencer, was brought to attention of Gulf Coast Barefoot Doctors (GCBD) on Tuesday.

It was reported that Humble's dangerous MMS had been rebranded and repackaged as "Advanced Oxygen Therapy" and was being marketed as a magic bullet cure all.

By Wednesday morning, confirmation that Spencer was supplying "Humble's Advanced Oxygen Therapy" to vulnerable Gulf victims had set off alarm bells throughout the coastal region and on Facebook. The Facebook group, Gulf Change has endorsed the product. At least one of its leaders opposes its stand on the product that it has been recommending on Facebook.

Ingredients on the bottle of the potion? Short and simple:  "Active ingredient sodium salt." Pressed to provide more details, Spencer has thus far refrained according to this writer's sources.

No amount of toxins are 'safe'

Registered Nurse, Patricia Springstead, now spending much time volunteering as a barefoot doctor, stated Tuesday in an email, "The historical fact of MMS is, that when, activated, it becomes what is equal to pool shock, to shock bacteria, fungus and other pathogens from swimming water."

"The name for table salt is Sodium Chloride. In its dry state, MMS  is Sodium Chlorite. When Activated with citrus or vinegar, it becomes Sodium Dioxide."

Spencer's "Advanced Oxygen Therapy" is addressed as a sister product of  MMS, but he has not been available to explain the ingredients in the new sister. Reports have been submitted indicating the new product is as lethal as the old.

"It is of our honest opinion and research as medical professionals that if this is what people are ingesting, no matter in what amounts it is dangerous," said Springstead, then asking, "Would you want to ingest pool water that you swim in on a daily basis?"

Allopathic Physicians and Naturopaths also speak of collateral damage from MMS. Both Patricia Springstead and her husband, Richard W. Springstead MD have seen MMS effects on numerous occasions - needing to intervene on an emergent basis to hydrate with fluids and draw blood chemistrys for potassium and other electrolyte imbalances and to decrease the toxic load and body burden of this substance.

According to Springstead and other health professionals, MMS is not Chlorine. It is Chlorine Dioxide. In his article, What is Miracle Mineral Supplement (MMS) and why is it dangerous?," Health Consultant Jonathan Campbell reported that the "miracle" concoction causes cancer:

"Miracle Mineral Supplement (MMS) is being touted on the Internet as a natural antibiotic and cure-all for a wide range of diseases and afflictions: colds and flu (including swine flu), malaria, cancer, 'HIV & AIDS,' fungus, and, more recently, autism. But MMS is actually a synthetic industrial chemical - it is a concentrated (28%) chlorine bleach - sodium chlorite...  This means that if you consume MMS you will end up with these compounds - which cause cancer - inside you. ("What is Miracle Mineral Supplement (MMS) and why is it dangerous?" (Campbell, J, Natural Therapies that Work, Online: http://www.cqs.com/mms.htm)

Campbell explains that MMS attacks healthy tissue:

"CLO2 is actually more dangerous than elemental chlorine for healthy tissue. According to the data on CLO2 cited to support its use for disinfection, it destroys amino acids and sulfurous bonds, both of which are integral to healthy human tissue. CLO2 cannot differentiate healthy tissue from diseased tissue. It is a universal biocide, not for human internal consumption."

After no less than a life-saving interview that Mr. Jeff Rense conducted with Dr. Rodney Soto on Rense Radio Network, the Gulf hero doctor, Dr. Soto joined forces with the barefoot doctors to provide supervision to them plus provide remote and on-site health care to Gulf Coast residents, as had been prayed for over seven months. During that interview, Dr. Soto commented, "No toxins are a 'safe level' of toxins."

After using MMS, Melinda F. from Florida said: "I have never been so sick in my life, after 1 month on this stuff."

Nurse Springstead told her to push fresh mineral water and no citrus or vinegar for 2 weeks. Melinda also said that she "loaded up on Vitamin D3, 3000units and 1 sulfur capsule (that is MSM not MMS) in the morning and the afternoon."

Melinda stated, "She also gave me a recipe for cabbage soup.  After my experience with this, I wouldn't tell my worst enemy to take this."

After 2 weeks, Melinda was "better."

Sue D in Calif is among an untold number of people scammed by the Church that is pushing the poison:

"I was swindled by the claims of the MMS people," adding that it is a cult that "preys on a chemical and desperate people. I took both MMS 1 and MMS 2.  After 2 days something told me to stop.  This is not a miracle in any way. it is deadly chemicals.  I am embarassed to say that I didn't listen to you, Trisha. Did you know that even Africa is trying to get people to stop taking this stuff?????"

Facebook used to attract the vulnerable

automotive marketing online

"Natural Health Consultant, Medical Intuitive, Author, Researcher," Wil Spencer's FB page, www.bodyelectrician.com/Diet.html, contains the following information about "Environotics Unlimited and Advanced Oxygen Therapy":

"Environotics Unlimited General Manager?Bethlehem, Pennsylvania?. Helping people understand their health and the health of the planet is dependent upon a natural balance derived from the Life Force, which is now understood though Quantum Physics, as electrical energy that flows from the earth through the food chain. There is an interdependence between the physical elements of minerals, enzymes, and amino acids, and the colonies of micro-organisms required for bio-electrical availability through our innate electrical body circuitry all the way to the subtle yet powerful level of our love frequency/vibration/energy.

"The Body Electrician Clinic Natural Wholistic Health Provider, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. My clinic, dedicated to support you in your quest for vibrant health, well being and conscious awareness. My website, www.bodyelectrician.com is designed as a vehicle to deliver information on all aspects of human health and well being with focus on our innate ability to grow and expand as Who We Are, individually, in our conscious awareness and ultimately our choice to become enlightened, or not."

Despite Dr. Soto's warning that there is no so-called "safe-level" of poisoning, an untold number of Gulf residents have been willfully adding chemicals to their already poisoned systems , in desperation, convinced that the product is a cure.

One user of the "Miracle Mineral" cure, with not one mineral in it and equivalent to pool shock, admitted, "It even smells like chlorinated pool water."

Some residents who have been using the "treatment" admitted they were soon nauseous, had diarhea and were more disoriented than before using it. Some became so violently ill, they were hospitalized according to this writer's sources.

According to Springstead, MMS side effects include:

  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Uncontrolled diarhea
  • Disorientation
  • Headaches
  • Chemical poisoning,
  • Fatigue
  • Electrolyte imbalances
  • Possible death

As medical professionals, health advocates, and humans,  Gulf Barefoot Doctors have declared that if people choose to take MMS, it is at their own risk.

"There have been some misleading and very false statements labeled as 'cures' for many diseases under the guise of MMS.  The FDA, which we do not always agree with, asked that selling this substance,  be stopped and that people do not ingest this toxic substance. The 'person who brought this product to market' has no scientific background, no substantive evidence that is a cure for anything," Springstead stated.

"People of the BP Gulf Oil Spill do not need one more dangerous chemical in their blood."

"It is our duty to inform, educate and care for the condition of all sufferers of any disease, to outweigh the risks and benefits of what is ingested by people.  In this case, risks far outweigh benefits," stated Barefoot Doctors early Wednesday morning in a  prepared statement.

"I think [Wil Spencer] has used it to make people believe they're being helped by making them feel good. It's had that effect, certainly. It's the same old tactic used by snake oil salesmen, I'm sorry to say, except much more harmful than most of those," said LaBarre, head of Barefoot Doctors in their New Orleans headquarters.

"It's particularly despicable that Wil Spencer is targeting vulnerable people with serious conditions who have limited treatment options."

Air critical for survival

(Photo: James Neff)

Pure air, water and food are essential for survival. People of the Gulf have none of these now. The entire region, therefore, is facing a surge of cancer, as Dr. Rodney Soto, Dr. Mark Sircus, and too few other medical professionals have alerted.

Under Dr. Soto's supervision, the barefoot doctors are revising their guidelines. Among other protocol, evidence-based Oxygen therapy is to be included.

In another life-saving Rense Radio program focusing on the Gulf of Mexico "catastrophe of the millennium" as he calls it, Mr. Rense and his guest, Mr. Rick Hill discuss, Deadly Indoor Air and How to Clean It.  Mr. Hill of Healthy Perceptions discussed the importance of pure air in Gulf Coast homes.

Rense introduces the program presenting the Gulf as the "greatest single ecological catastrophe that man has caused," second only, he asserts, to the global spread of depleted uranium.

"What's been done to the Gulf is the crime of the millennium. What we're going to talk about...all you people living on the Gulf... are facing an early death, that's about the most gentle way i can put it together."

Highlighting that "VOCs in Gulf Coast region air are beyond toxic," Mr. Rense reminded the listener, "They're finding blood panels of people who have been tested with so off-the-charts levels of some of these VOCs, that people being tested are clearly headed to catastrophic health break-downs."

Benzyne is in Gulf region air samples, its strength depending on air flows. Air in Gulf homes is not pure enough to be non-toxic according to many health professionals.

Rense stated, "At the very start of this, the most important thing I recommended to people in the south," stated Mr. Rense, "was to get an ozone air purifier so at least when they are inside, they have clean air to breathe. You've got to have refuge." (Emphasis added)

One company has stepped up to help people who can afford a top of the line air purifier. Healthy Perceptions is offering the most effective and least expensive way to breathe clean air with its air purifiers. The offer can be seen on the Rense home page or by mentioning his name when phoning Healthy Perceptions.

This writer's sources have reported that sick people having trouble breathing, cry in gratitude when someone finally gives a respirator to them so they can live longer, despite the discomfort and heat from wearing them. Air purifiers cause no such discomfort.

The Rense interview includes facts such as that every year, indoor air pollution causes one death every 20 seconds, 1.6 million people per year according to the WHO. Living longer is possible with air purification. On the other hand, even small amounts of air pollution have irreparable damage of children.

Air toxins are causing irreversible mutations in children, hard-wiring them for cancer later explained Mr. Hill.

Rense encourages Gulf neighbors who can, to pool resources to access an air purifier between them, to share if need be. Without clean air, the immune system cannot rebuild.

Alternatively, albeit not as effective as the top-of-the-line air purifiers offered through Rense Program, Nurse Springstead says, "Stabilized Oxygen can be made for pennies a day with the correct machinery."

The reason most Gulf people cannot believe the danger to their lives because they fail to see that their government could do this to them according to Mr. Rense. Many people do want to survive, however, and need accurate information, unlike that provided by some who are injuring with their "treatments.'

Mr. Rense has covered the oil catastrophic event from its onset on a daily basis, providing opportunities for people of the Gulf and beyond to learn Gulf truth and facts needed to survive longer in these dark days. He and the helpful Rense Program Webmaster, Mr. james Neff arranged late Wednesday for the air quality interview to be available to the public, most beneficial for people of the Gulf. The program is available for listening at http://rense.gsradio.net:8080/rense/special/rense_R_Hill_110510.mp3.

During that program, Mr. Rense addresses doctors listening to the program, emphatically urging, "You people, please! Don't tell people, 'You have 3 months,' or 'six months to live,'" because people do as their told. The body will turn itself down and shut down."

In the same respect, despite the predicted cancer surge throughout the Gulf Coast region, Mr. Rense reminds his followers, "Remember!  MOST cancers are bacterial or virally caused. There are environmental triggers but there are almost always the above two in there somewhere." Bacteria and viruses can be managed naturally. Such is the belief of the barefoot docs.

The Gulf barefoot doctors group was founded to fill a niche that government and everyone else was ignoring at the time of the Gulf oil operation, reaching out to compassionately provide community health care to those asking for it. Its mission is help people help themselves and each other so surviving isn't out of reach of the poor and so people with money don't go broke trying to survive.

Springstead emailed this writer about the deliberate poisoning of the people of the South, first be oil, then Corexit and now, by bottled poison, "I have a very hard time understanding how some of these people can sleep at night.  I sure as hell don't, because I am having to stay up and keep tabs on what next poison they are going to push and research."

The barefoot docs are committed to the Hippocratic Oath including, "First do no harm."

Time has arrived in the United States for each of us with compassion and a little extra strength to be a barefoot doctor - wherever we are. We all have have a right to health care and a responsibility to protect vulnerable people, including those already suffering and the children, from harm, including protecting from chemicals and those pushing them.

Tragedies historically bring out the best in people and the worst, I have learned in History. It is shame that these people calling themelves Healers, would do thid. My Grandma told me this was happening and explained what this stuff is. I am lucky at 18 to have such a wise Grandmother who is a Nurse. I am 18 and I understand what this is, like she says...."It's not rocket science" I hope to be able to help teach my friends about this spill and form a group of young people to help.
    Thank You

Thousands of people have used this MMS for years with success and without problems. Now suddenly it is the most dangerous thing in the world ...........get a grip.

................and here is what the CDC says about it in their own report:

    Journal of Toxilogical Sciences, Abstract:

    toxsci.oxfordjournals.org/content/1/4/334.short
after 12 weeks of ingestion…… “However, by the absence of detrimental physiological responses within the limits of the study, the relative safety of oral ingestion of chlorine dioxide and its metabolites, chlorite and chlorate, was demonstrated. ”

Perhaps it would be helpful if you read Jim Humble's work before condemning him and his research. You may do so by googling his name online. (I can't post a link here.) By the way, he makes not a penny from the products he developed.

One more point - It's ironic that the same charges (of chemical poisoning) have been leveled at the ozone air purifiers that (to the author's credit) are favorably mentioned in this article. It's always a good idea to ask who profits from the suppression of inexpensive, natural technologies and remedies and to do our own thorough research.

I have read about his "altruistic" work. Why don't you take a human Pathophysiology Class and a Chemistry class. Honey, we got toxicologists comin out of the woodwork speaking up about this junk. Take your poison to another country and poison them because these Gulf Spill Sufferers need not one more toxin.
Put that in your pipe and Smoke it and DO NOT TRY TO SELL THIS TO THESE ALREADY VERY ILL PEOPLE. LETS JUST FEED THEM SOME FISH AND ARSENIC ON TOP OF THIS. YOU TALK TO ALL OF US ABOUT THE PATHOPHYSIOLOGY OF THIS JUNK, TELL ME WHAT LAB VALUES YOU TAKE IN ORDER TO PROVE THAT THEY NEED POISON AND DO YOU KNOW ITS INTERACTIONS WITH VOCS AND PAH'S, GO SELL IT TO SOMEONE ELSE AND STAY AWAY FROM THE GULF REGION PLEASE.
    FIRST DO NO HARM.

Thanks for providing us with the truth of this, Deborah. One thing that is especially telling is the fact that these snake oil salespeople have not provided a single lab report, an ingredient list or for that matter, any documentation whatsoever regarding this so called "product." They don't want to, then they could be held liable.

I’ve read many of your articles, Debra!

You do manage to get some truth out through the leftwing, ‘I hate America’ rhetoric and I commend you for that. Your articles would be much better if you lost the ‘Hate America Campaign!’

But that is the real ‘You’ I guess. So be it!

Your work on vaccines and the Gulf Oil Spill is commendable, keep up the good work.

One thing I have learned in through decades of study is this; “Just because someone is wrong about many things, ‘this does not necessarily’ make them wrong about everything!”

You have potential for doing a lot of good! So! “Do no harm, Debra!” To America that is!

  • Askme 1 year ago

Of course medical people don't want you to use MMS...they make no money...Several friends, including myself, have been using this product for years to prevent from getting sick and we have never had any troubles with the product. Did you research this product from Mr Humble himself or just take the doctors opinion? MMS cured many thousands from Malaria in as little as 3-4 hours until the drug companies threaten to take away supplies and medicine from the clinics in the jungles who were using the product. If I were poisoned by BP I certainly would be drinking it daily to reverse the damage from the oil. It is a water purifier and if you do get sick from it, it is because you have something going on that the MMS is killing and the body trying to flush. I have nothing to do with the company, do not even know Jim Humble, but after reading about it I thought it made a lot of sense since it sends oxygen to the cells.

  • John M 1 year ago

It's sad how some people will believe anything. I have spent the last couple of hours informing myself on MMS, Wil Spencer, and Jim Humble. What I find amazing is that on his site humblemiraclemineral.com it actually says "Jim Humble MMS is not chlorine dioxide; Miracle Mineral Supplement – MMS is sodium chlorite (NaClO2) 28%. Combining with acid briefly produces chlorous acid (HClO2), which in sequential steps oxidizes ambient chlorite (ClO2-) to create chlorine dioxide (ClO2)." Wikipedia describes chlorine dioxide as being used mainly as an industrial bleaching agent used to bleach paper and textiles. Personally I would never ingest this poison they are selling. What a gimmick...sell you a poison to rid your body of poisons, what a joke. Debra I hope you were joking when your referred to Mr. Spencer as Dr. I see nothing in the guys bio to indicate that he has a PhD in anything besides being a scam artist.

According to the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) 106,000 people die each year in the U.S. due to the negative effects of drugs (that is only the reported cases)! Medical doctors and hospitals are now the third leading cause of death in the U.S. (following cancer and heart disease). Vaccines are the most toxic, deadly hoax to ever be used against mankind! Chemotherapy and radiation therapy are weapons of mass destruction and it is pure evil and madness to apply them to a human being, and fraud to the extreme to tell them it will cure them and make them healthy!
So how many people did you say died from this MMS compared to mainstream, allopathic medicine?

The AMA (American Murdical Association) is the biggest fraud and quackery racket on the planet, and the FDA (Fraud and Death Administration) is their gangster strong arm. Together they form one of the biggest criminal racketeering and fraud syndicates on the planet!
    Do your research, I did!

Virtually ALL pharmaceutical drugs are toxic poisons and unfit for human consumption unless in homeopathic doses!
Two snakes on a pole (caducess) is their symbol! No snake oil for me, thank you!

You know, I've been using MMS fo little more than 2 years. My biggest dose that I ever did was 6 drops. I never have to take it for more than 3-4 days every month or two.
I use to take Nexium for my gastritis-when I could afford it. Without the pill I suffered a lot. It took only 3 days with MMS and I don't have any gastritis since. I also had frequent sinus infections, MMS took care of that. When I started having pain in my tooth under the bridge work I was worried b/c of money. Again I tried MMS, second day the pain was gone and it's been year and half and I still have no pain or problem.
Friend of mine who I know for 16 years also suffered with gastritis.I gave him 3 drops first day, 4 the next . The second day he told me his stomach doesn't hurt. He takes MMS every now and then just as I do for prevention.
I also know someone who had a cancer and is taking MMS in high doses without problems. He is healthy and alive.
I am no chemist but after some research it seems to me that the chemical reaction does not create pool chlorine.
I'd rather try any home remedies and natural stuff even if it is controversial. Look what are people ingesting-farmaceutical poisons. They line up for it, beg for it and pay top dollar for it!!! And big farma is laughing all the way to their bank. People are stupid. There are great treatment options that help. It only takes research and education.

The "healing" agent at the core of this 'elixir' isn't the chlorine but the oxygen. So, skip the bleach and use oxygenated liquids (food grade peroxide, magnesium peroxide, ozonated water etc, etc.) -- learn how to enhance oxygenation of the body along with methods of detoxing. Also, in another post (Citizen) suggests sodium chloride (a salt) can be equated with chlorine dioxide -- this is beyond a pitiful ineptitude of basic chemistry.

This is nothing new in the way of desperate people finding poisons that actually have anecdotal evidence for efficacy. For example, on the Lewis and Clark expedition, most of the men con tracted S yphilis. At that time, a common treatment was to drink MERCURY as mercury had demonstrated strong ability to prevent decay. Seems like good logic when one doesn't have any knowledge of the harm that mercury causes. Shortly after the expedition, Lewis committed su icide and one can't help but wonder what impact copious amounts of mercury may have had on triggering that -- perhaps, it could be argued they would have been better off drinking MMS than mercury but that doesn't necessarily mean chlorine dioxide is harmless!

I always use MMS when I have a cold or feel that I get it- with MMS in combination with Vit. D3 and Betaglucan - me and my familiy did not have a cold last winter and this one. It only takes 1 day for me and the cold symptomes are away. I only take 3 -4drops once a day and only when I feel sick. I take citron acid as activator, not DMSO that I never would take!
It is really a miracle cure! and I say this as a MD

This guy absolutely abused his power to give MMS, with the wrong instructions for use. When it comes to problems arising, it's better to look between the lines. I think our government are finding ways to eliminate the products that could help us. This man was put there. Did you also notice how much Vitamin D she took? 3000IU. This is next. Strategy my friend and nothing else. Emotions can blind you, from seeing it all.
I'm not fooled and I know for a fact, that MMS works when used correctly.

  • triathlete007 1 year ago

I've used MMS multiple times and it works fine. I had a bladder infection that 100mg of doxycycline hyclate couldn't take care of over 10 days. 5 drops in the morning and 5 drops in the afternoon and it was gone in two days. Oh, beware of MMS but be sure to drink your Fluoride tainted tap water, get mercury/aluminum hydroxide/formaldehyde/rhesus monkey fetal cells from vaccines, GMO food, and load up on pharmaceuticals. Google BBC documentary "The Human Laboratory".

  • Xor Nor 1 year ago

Wow! what a devoted following MMS has. I have pontificated of natural health care for many years and have had a curious and cautious awareness of MMS for more than 5 years. I am concerned about why this rightly questionable protocol has garnered a religious zeal from its followers. This excerpt seems very appropriate for considering: "The F.D.A. has not made any move against these fraudsters, despite making every 'unapproved medical claim' imaginable. Yet, when colloidal silver is honestly promoted, or cherry farmers quote scientific studies in favor of their crops medicinal benefits, the F.D.A. enters high alert. This is a pattern which we have noticed, for the F.D.A. is only interested in silencing effective and legitimate alternative medicines, but it condones obvious frauds like M.M.S., because these frauds hurt alternative medicine (the competition) in the long term. In other words, alternative medicine frauds like this are actually beneficial to the pharmaceutical industry."

  • Triathlete007 1 year ago

The FDA hasn't made a move against these fraudsters? A simple Google search of MMS + FDA shows that statement to be false. PGL International who sold it got shut down. There goes your entire premise the in the posting Xor Nor. Yes it has a devoted following and there are lots of examples on the internet of people panicking about trying to find future sources. Why, because they've used it and it works. So you've read about it for 5 years? Do you have any "first hand" knowledge in the use of the product? I personally know of at least 6 people who use it and almost anything foreign to the body gets oxidized and removed within days. Your personal experience is what? I also use colloidal silver, food grade hydrogen peroxide, and whole food vitamins. So we have some people who have had their bodies inundated with hydrocarbons like benzene and toxins like Corexit 9500 complain about getting sick after taking MMS? It's called a Herxheimer reaction, duh. The liver, kidneys, lungs, and skin are overtaxed. Drop the amount of MMS consumed, drink more distilled water, and take super green foods like Nitrogreens from Biotics Research.

I.m constantly amazed by people who miss the whole point and in this case by people who seem to have no clue about MMS, how it really works and have never tried it or any other health product! I have researched and used MMS for just over 5 years - I was diagnosed with inoperable, stage 4 prostate cancer, almost 6 years ago - I'm 100% cancer free today. I'm extremely gratefull as my diagnoses was a little grim. I do not sell or even tell people except those who ask me about what I did. There are many "cures' for cancer and almost all other diseases. The medical drug-people are in the sickness business, not the health business! When was the last time you went to a doctor when you were healthy? There is no money in a cure!!! There is multi- billions of dollars made by the whole system. If that were not true - where has all the Billions of research Dollars gone? Wake up America - You (and all of us are being conned by W.H.O. FDA, CDC, The Fed etc). These are very sad times indeed - imagine... some real crazy people even think that Iraq, Iran, Afganistan and Pakistan offer some kind of threat to us so you let the US SS or TSA or Fema or homeland security are actually working for you. Get a grip or get groped or radiation poisoning. Main Stream news is not telling you the truth about anything.

Hmmm......MMS $20.00 for a bottle that lasts about a year or chemotherapy at 20k for a one time dose and only effective in 5-10% of cases? If itdoesn't work at least you won't be giving your lif'e savings to big pharm.

Come on people, use some common sense: Just because you used MMS a few times does NOT prove it is safe! There are plenty of people who smoke for 60 years and never get sick from it, doesn't make it safe. If it really cured people in Africa, where is the proof? Show me ONE shred of proof? If anything, Jim should at least have the malaria and AIDS test results? Where are they? I've never seen one. He claims there was 100,000 people cured in Africa, did someone blog about it? Did someone report it? They have the internet there too you know. Do you really believe 100,000 people could be cured without leaving a trace? It would have taken a SERIOUS humanitarian effort to achieve this! It could EASILY be verified if it actually happened.

    1. What is Chlorine Dioxide?
Chlorine dioxide (ClO2) is a gas with strong oxidizing properties. An "oxidizing agent" removes electrons from reactive molecules. By this process, ClO2 quickly neutralizes and eliminates odors, acts as a bleach, and also breaks the cell wall of microorganisms. ClO2's action is rapid on most microorganisms and is unique in its ability to kill bacteria, virus, fungus and spores. Chlorine dioxide was first discovered in 1811 by Humphrey Davy. Today, ClO2 is primarily used as a disinfectant for municipal water subplies, especially those with odor and taste problems. It is also extensively used as a bleaching agent in the pulp and paper industry instead of chlorine, since chlorine was found to produce carcinogens. Some newer applications for ClO2 include the disinfection of fruit, vegetables, meat and seafood, the treatment of medical waste, and as a sanitizer in the canning industry. Until recently, however, chlorine dioxide was not available for use on a "small-scale" or for topical application because the gas must be generated at the point of use and could not be easily transported.

    . Is chlorine dioxide safe?
The Niagara Falls New York water treatment plant first used chlorine dioxide for drinking water disinfection in 1944. Currently, there are approximately 400 - 500 water treatment plants in the United States and over 1000 in Europe utilizing ClO2 to purify municipal drinking water systems. Numerous studies have shown chlorine dioxide, when used at the appropriate concentrations, has no adverse health effects, either by skin contact or ingestion.
    4. What's the difference between chlorine and chlorine dioxide?
While chlorine dioxide (ClO2) has chlorine in its name, chlorine dioxide's chemistry is different from that of chlorine. Unlike the more common chlorine, chlorine dioxide, at appropriate concentrations, is non-mutagenic, non-carcinogenic, and relatively non-irritating. When ClO2 is added to water, it dissolves without ionizing. Or more specifically, when exposed to water, ClO2 does not release a chlorine atom to form hydrochloric acid as does chlorine, nor does it combine with organics to form chlorinated hydrocarbons, which are carcinogenic.

One atom can make all the difference --- just as hydrogen is an explosive gas, but when combined with oxygen becomes dihydrogen oxide - commonly known as water (H2O)
