Edit: Lindsey Valenzuela will now be taking Camille Leblanc-Bazinet's spot to compete against Annie Thorisdottir due to Leblanc-Bazinet's visa arriving too late.
To demonstrate the second workout of the 2013 CrossFit Games Open season, CrossFit announced two-time CrossFit Games champion Annie Thorisdottir will compete head to head with one of the sport's strongest pound for pound women, Camille Leblanc-Bazinet.
The workout will take place at 5:00 PM Pacific time on March 13 at CrossFit South Brooklyn. This season, Thorisdottir weighs in at 147 pounds, outweighing Leblanc-Bazinet by over 20 pounds, who self-reports a weight of 126 pounds.
Though Thorisdottir has won the CrossFit Games for the past two years, Leblanc-Bazinet actually holds a strength advantage over Thorisdottir on certain movements and pound for pound appears to be the stronger athlete. If the workout does not include heavy dead lifts or overhead lifts for reps, it shouldn't be seen as an upset for Leblanc-Bazinet to top the two-time champion in Games workout 13.2.
