Crosby's Taylor Cole pichted the Lady Cougars to a 2-1 victory over the Kingwood Park Lady Panthers. Crosby scored once in its first at bat and once in its final at bat to post the win.
Amanda McMahan and Ariel Clogston reached with one out in the first, stole second and third to set the stage for Alyssa Touchet's run scoring single.
Cole made the one run lead hold up until K-Park finally broke through in the bottom of the sixth to tie the game at 1-1. The Lady Panthers scored their unearned run on a double, an error and a run scoring single.
The Lady Cougars though were not letting this one slip away. In the seventh, Jamie Hofman delivered a one out single and later scored on Clogston's two ball two strike line drive single into centerfield.
McMahan collected two of the Lady Cougars seven hits.
Cole's complete game performance included 13 strikeouts.
Crosby (4-1)in its last five games hosts Humble on Wednseday Mar. 13 at noon.
