Cromwell Valley Park invites Baltimore families to annual Easter egg hunt (Video)

Winter is gasping its last breath allowing spring to return. At the end of this month we celebrate Easter, a sign spring is finally here. Children can enjoy the outdoors once more. One popular outdoor activity is decorating eggs for Easter egg hunts held by churches and other organizations.

Easter Egg Hunt
On Saturday, March 30 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Cromwell Valley Park is offering their annual Easter Egg Hunt. This program is suitable for families of all ages, and will be held at Sherwood Farm. This program is free for everyone, and reservations are not required to attend the program.

Once again the Easter Bunny is hiding candy-filled Easter eggs at Cromwell Valley Park for a day of egg hunts. Listed below is the egg hunt schedule:

10:30am - 3 to 4 years old
10:45am – 5 to 6 years old
11:00am – 7 to 8 years old
11:45am – 9 to 10 years old

Note: Adults not allowed in egg hunt area.

In addition to the egg hunts there will be many fun family activities throughout the morning. These activities include meeting the Easter Bunny, creating an Easter bonnet or hat, egg dying and assorted family games.

What You Need to Know
Cromwell Valley Park is located on 2175 Cromwell Bridge Road. The Main Visitor Entrance is at Willow Grove Farm (second gate). Click here for directions to the park.

There are many educational activities for children and families offered by Cromwell Valley Park, many of them are interactive or hands-on. Some activities include hiking, camping, gardening, and crafts. Adults and seniors can join the fun through seminars, classes, sales, and other events.

The park is open from sunrise to sunset 7 days per week, 365 days of the year. Admission to Cromwell Valley Park is free to the public, although some programs require a registration fee.

Willow Grove Nature Education Center
The Willow Grove Nature Education Center is open most weekdays 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. It is closed Sundays. Hours are dependent on outdoor programs and available staff, so call ahead to see if they are open.

According to the Cromwell Valley Park, the Willow Grove Nature Education Center “offers plenty of opportunities for visitors to learn about nature, farming, local history, and conservation awareness.”
