If you think you can only make soups and stews in your Crockpot, this fried chicken recipe will surprise you. This recipe needs a little bit of preparation time, but once you arrive home in the evening, the chicken will be juicy, tender, and delicious.


Serves: 4; Cooking time: 6 to 8 hours on low setting


Ingredients:

2 to 3 pound fryer, cut into serving pieces

1 cup flour

1 tsp. salt, and ½ teaspoon pepper, other spices to your liking

1 tsp. oregano

Butter or veggie oil


Directions:

Rinse the chicken and pat dry.

Combine flour, salt, pepper, oregano and any additional spices

Toss in chicken to flour mixture and coat

In a skillet, heat butter or oil to ¼ inch depth and cook chicken over medium heat until brown on all sides

Place brown chick in Crockpot. You do not need to add any liquid.

Cover and cook on low setting up to eight hours.
