I love my Crock-Pot and use it at least once a week. It is a great time saver, because it doesn't require a lot of your attention. Most recipes are as simple as dropping in your ingredients and turning it on, like this Slow Cooker Chicken Philly Sandwich Filling. At about $3.00 per serving, this is one budget-friendly recipe!
2 Tbsp. Butter
4 Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
1-14 oz. bag Stir Fry Mix (Peppers and Onions)
½ Tbsp. Steak Seasoning
Salt and Pepper to taste
1 Package Hoagie rolls
Toss butter, chicken breast, stir fry mix, and seasonings into crock pot.
Cook on low for about 5 hours, stir at least once.
Pile up generous helpings on a hoagie roll, top with sliced or shredded mozzarella.
To amp it up a notch- put your sandwiches under the broiler to melt cheese and toast the tops.
To make a delicious condiment to slather on your sandwich and pack in some more flavor mix 1Tbsp Mayo to 1 Tsp. A-1 Sauce.
