Crock pot meatloaf, yes it's possible


Meatloaf is a staple of most of our dinner menus. There are so many different ways to create a tasty meatloaf. When cooking meatloaf be inventive. Try adding some chili powder, peppers and top with salsa and cheese for a Tex-Mex type meatloaf. If you start with a basic recipe like the one below it will enable you bake up many different types of meatloaf. If you haven’t tried making a meatloaf in a crock pot give it a chance. It bakes up beautifully and keeps the heat out of your kitchen. It enables you to have a nice meal on the table after a long day. So here’s the basic recipe but don’t be afraid to change it up. That’s the fun about cooking. Be bold, don’t be afraid and be adventurous.
2 eggs, beaten
3/4 cup milk
3/4 cup dry breadcrumbs
1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix
2 lbs lean ground beef
1 tablespoon oregano
1 tablespoon garlic
2 tablespoon ketchup
2 tablespoon spicy mustard

1. Line the crock pot with aluminum foil going up the sides of the crock pot
2. In large mixing bowl, add ground beef, followed by eggs, bread crumbs, milk, onion soup mix and all other ingredients.
3. Mold your meat mixture into either a loaf or oval size to fit the crock pot. Cook for about 6 hours on low.
4. Do you want to spice it up? Add peppers, hot or not, more onion, taco seasoning. Chili powder or any other seasonings you can think off. Top your meatloaf dry garlic, a little mustard and ketchup mixture or tomato sauce. Try some cheese on top or a basic brown gravy. Delicious
