Quiet beads to quiet the mind.
The rosary and the chaplet are crocheted entirely of yarn, in one piece, including the beads and cross. It’s a great scrap yarn project as it only uses less than a 1/2 ounce of yarn. When you’re finished using them, mark the page in your Bible or Missal. Additionally you can remind yourself to pray everyday by hanging them on your bedpost or mirror as a decorative object.

This pattern is for those who want to crochet a rosary or chaplet, but don't want to use thread or beads. The entire rosary is made of 4 ply yarn, such as Red Heart Super Saver or Caron Pounder. You can also use a dish cloth type of yarn, such as Sugar and Cream. This is a good way to use up your scraps as it uses just a very small amount of yarn. It's a very quiet rosary.

A chaplet is a partial rosary. My rosary has 5 decades. My chaplet has one decade and can fit around your wrist, like a bracelet.

Certain colors can give certain meanings to your rosary or chaplet. For instance, red is the symbol of life's blood or you can make a pink one for Breast Awareness. When you are finished saying your prayers, you can use it to mark your Bible or Missal page. To remind yourself to pray everyday, hang it from your bedpost or mirror.
