Critics' Choice Awards winners in movie categories led by Affleck's 'Argo' (Photos)

Critics’ Choice Movie Awards ceremony was held at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif., and broadcast live on The CW Network, on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013. Following are the awards winners in the movie categories.

The winner of two big Critics' Choice Award was "Argo," directed by Ben Affleck. The film won for Best Picture and for Best Director for Affleck. "Argo was nominated for seven Academy Awards, including Best Picture, but Affleck was overlooked. In his acceptance speech, Affleck joked, "I want to thank the Academy......"

Daniel Day-Lewis won for the Best Actor award for his portrayal of President Abraham Lincoln in "Lincoln." Tony Kushner was nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay for "Lincoln." John Williams won for Best Score for "Lincoln." The film about the 16th President of the United States, set during the Civil War, was the leading nominee for the Academy Awards. 85th Academy Award nods led by "Lincoln"

Jessica Chastain won for Best Actress for "Zero Dark Thirty," which was directed by Oscar winning director Kathryn Bigelow. William Goldenberg and Dylan Tichenor won for Best Editing for their work on "Zero Dark Thirty."

Philip Seymour Hoffman won the award for Best Supporting Actor for "The Master."

Anne Hathaway received the Best Supporting Actress award for "Les Miserables." "Les Mis" was directed by Tom Hooper, who won the Academy Award for "The King's Speech" two years ago.

Best Young Actor/Actress: Quvenzhane Wallis won for Best Young Actor/Actress for "Beasts of the Southern Wild."

"Silver Linings Playbook" won the Critics' Choice Award for Best Ensemble and Best Comedy. Bradley Cooper won for Best Actor in a Comedy, while Jennifer Lawrence won for Best Actress in a Comedy.

Jennifer Lawrence, who won for Best Actress in a Comedy for "Silver Linings Playbook," also won for Best Actress in an Action Movie for "The Hunger Games." The Hunger Games leads 39th People's Choice Awards with five trophies

Daniel Craig was named the Best Actor in an Action Movie for the James Bond film "Skyfall." "Skyfall was named the Best Action Movie. The film also received the award for Best Song. 85th Academy Awards to feature tribute to James Bond films

"Looper" was named the Best Horror/Sci-Fi film.

Quentin Tarantino won the award for Best Original Screenplay for "Django Unchained."

Best Cinematography: Claudio Miranda won the award for Best Cinematography for "Life of Pi." "Life of Pi" also won for Best Visual Effects. "Life of Pi"is a leading nominee for the Academy Awards, with 11 nominations.

The winners for Best Art Direction were Sarah Greenwood (Production Designer) and Katie Spencer (Set Decorator) for their work on "Anna Karenina." The winner for Best Costume Design was Jacqueline Durran for "Anna Karenina."

The winner for Best Makeup was "Cloud Atlas."

"Wreck-It Ralph" was named the Best Animated Feature.

"Amour" was selected as the Best Foreign Film.

The Best Documentary Feature was"Searching for Sugarman."
