When your hometown team wins a big game, inching one step closer to the championship it's not wise to make any changes. For some people that means eating the same foods and wearing the same clothes -- even down to their lucky underwear.
Since Baltimore's Private School Examiner reported on Cristo Rey Jesuit's bet against their counterpart in Houston last week in the NFL's Divisional Playoff game (Ravens v Texans) it is our duty to report on the wager of the week--this time between the Baltimore high school and Cristo Rey Jesuit in Boston.
To recap, last week the president of Baltimore's Cristo Rey Jesuit, Fr. John Swope, SJ won a big batch of Bar-B-Q from Cristo Rey Jesuit in Houston when the Baltimore Ravens beat the Texans. This week, competing for the title of Conference Champions and a trip to the Super Bowl it is Ravens v Patriots and crabs v lobster.
Fr. Swope and his New England counterpart Jeff Thielman are putting their faith in their teams, and Ravens fans across the state are hoping Baltimore's Cristo Rey Jesuit will be dining on lobster tail in the very near future.
