His Spike TV series just wrapped up its first season, and fans already know what to expect next from Criss Angel.
Wednesday brought the official announcement that Criss Angel MAGICjam will play at the Luxor Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas for a limited engagement in February and March 2014. The new production is an anthology show that will spotlight a cast of other talented magicians and specialty acts, while Angel serves as writer, director and host.
The roster includes two individuals that viewers of the TV series will be familiar with: mentalist Banachek and Criss's apprentice, Krystyn Lambert. Also joining MAGICjam are comedian-illusionist Nathan Burton, who had a cameo on the series, as well as Jason Byrne, Tony Clark, Russ Merlin and Armando Vera.
Tickets for MAGICjam's limited run go on sale Friday, December 19 via Ticketmaster, phone or at any MGM box office, including the BeLIEve box office at the Luxor. Prices range from $59 to $130 (plus taxes and service fees).
Performances will run Tuesday through Saturday. There will be two showtimes, 7:30 PM and 9:30 PM, with the exception of Wednesdays and Fridays, which will see a single 7 PM show. MAGICjam will be dark on Sundays and Mondays.
More information will be released about the production on Angel's website (crissangel.com) in the coming weeks. Following the completion of MAGICjam, Criss Angel BeLIEve will return to the Luxor in April 2014.
MAGICjam fills in for Angel's regular live show, Criss Angel BeLIEve, while Angel recovers from intensive shoulder surgery. In Tuesday night's episode of the TV series, "Ship Appearance", viewers learned that he had aggravated the condition of his shoulder while performing a double straight jacket escape in Times Square this October.
