Criminal Minds star Thomas Gibson was arrested early Sunday, Jan. 6 on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI). Gibson was reportedly still in custody seven hours after he was arrested.
Gibson plays Supervisory Special Agent Aaron Hotchner on the hit CBS drama. Prior to Criminal Minds, Gibson played Greg on Dharma and Greg.
Gibson, 50 was driving in downtown Los Angeles when he drove through a barricade. The barricade had been set up for a nighttime half-marathon. The race was the “New Year’s Race – Los Angeles at Night.”
Thomas Gibson was arrested at 1:05 a.m. by the Los Angeles Police Department Central Traffic Division. By 8:30 a.m. Gibson was still in custody.
Gibson was listed in the arrest report as six foot two inches and 185 pounds. His bail was set at $15,000. Gibson was finally released at 1:27 p.m. PST.
