A recent "Criminal Minds" star DUI story has made the news, as actor Thomas Gibson was recently arrested in Los Angeles. The TV actor who portrays the character Aaron Hotchner on the hit CBS drama, was busted on suspicion of driving under the influence Sunday.
A report on Jan. 6 from Daily Mail indicates that the 50-year-old Gibson tried to drive through an area designated for a half marathon on early Sunday morning. Gibson was stopped and told of what the area was for, yet still tried to drive through after he was told of the event.
Gibson was then stopped by the police as they noticed a "strong smell of alcohol." From there, he refused to submit to a breathalyser test, and was subsequently taken into police custody at just after 1:30 a.m. local time. Gibson was held in custody with a bail set at $15,000.
Gibson currently has been married for 19 years and lives in Texans with his wife and 3 children. He's known for also playing Daniel Nyland on the CBS drama "Chicago Hope" and Greg on the sitcom "Dharma & Greg" which originally ran on ABC. Thomas Gibson was nominated twice for a Golden Globe award for his work on the ABC sitcom.
