On Sunday, "Criminal Minds" star Thomas Gibson was arrested on suspicion of DUI. The 50-year-old Gibson was driving in downtown Los Angeles when he tried to drive through a part of town that had been sectioned off because of a half marathon.
Reportedly, police stopped the "Criminal Minds" star after he tried to drive through the restricted area. After stopping Gibson, police claimed they smelled a strong scent of alcohol coming from the car. They questioned him about the smell and then asked him to submit to a breathalyzer, which he refused.
Police then took Gibson into custody for suspicion of misdemeanor DUI and his bail was set at $15,000. According to TMZ, he is still in police custody.
The "Criminal Minds" star DUI suspicion arrest may come as a surprise to many fans. Thomas Gibson is married and a father of three children, and his roles in shows like Criminal Minds and Dharma & Greg help boost him to stardom.
