After receiving an anonymous tip on the Manchester Crimeline, telling police who allegedly robbed the Citizen’s Bank on Wednesday, police received information on Thursday regarding the suspect’s location. Several Manchester Police officers converged on a local establishment, located the suspect inside and placed him under arrest, according to a Friday, Feb. 28, 2014 press release by Manchester Police (sorry, there is not a link available for this press release yet).
Police say Thomas Webster, 52, of 84 Ash Street, Manchester, NH, is charged with the felony, Robbery.
The release stated that police first received information on Webster being the robbery suspect after someone saw his surveillance camera picture on a WMUR broadcast. Then, police received a tip Thursday afternoon stating that Webster may be at the Ukrainian Club, located at 148 Manchester Street.
At approximately 5:00 p.m. Officers Horn, Day, Linstad and Buckley responded to the bar where they located Webster seated at the bar and arrested him without incident. Webster’s arrest was on a warrant charging him with the robbery of the Citizen’s Bank Branch, located at 875 Elm Street, which occurred at approximately 12:25 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014.
