Cregeen's Irish Pub is located in the Argenta area of North Little Rock. It is just a short drive over the bridge from downtown Little Rock. The atmosphere is great and the interior is pleasing. It was fairly crowded on the evening we went but there was no wait for a table.
The drink list appears to be extensive but we were not offered a drink menu.
Our party ordered the Shepherd’s Pie:
Ground Sirloin, Diced Vegetables and Herbs
Baked in Savory Gravy, Topped with Whipped
Mashed Potatoes and Accompanied by a Mixed
Greens Salad 7.95
and the traditional Bangers and Mash:
An Irish Classic! Real “Banger” Sausages on a Bed of Garlic Mashed Potatoes. $7.95
There are other familiar Irish dishes on the menu like Corned Beef and Cabbage:
Cubed, Braised, Tender Corned Beef Served
with Boiled Cabbage and Garlic Mashed Potatoes. $8.25
..and the All Day Irish Breakfast
Imported from Ireland…a Mighty Meal, Morning,
Noon, or Night. You Get Two Fried Eggs,
Sausages, Rashers, Tomatoes, and Toast menu. $6.95
Cregeen's also serves regular pub fare like appetizers and burgers. We've heard that the Sunday Brunch is quite good. It is available from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. On Sundays.
Both the dishes we ordered were good. Really good. Until biting into clods of dirt embedded in the mashed potatoes. We wanted to like Cregeen's, we really did. Hopefully it was just an off night. We may try Cregeen's again but next time we are laying off the potatoes.
