At first, this oversized insect had appeared to be a tree branch. Its slender body resembles a twig, and its head has a set of pincer-like jaws.

Lore

Nature DC 8: Twigstalkers are predatory insects known to inhabit forests and woodlands. They are more active at night, preferring to rest during the day. While lying dormant, a twigstalker clings to a tree, blending in so well that it can hardly be noticed. Aside from its superb natural camouflage, a twigstalker has a poisonous bite which it uses to catch prey.
If hungry or if disturbed, a twigstalker will attack. Many tales speak of an unwary person falling victim to a twigstalker by attempting to gather it as firewood. However, a twigstalker is usually no match for larger forest beasts or powerful warriors, and if endangered, it will quickly scamper away through the woodland terrain, attempting to hide.

Very nice monster, i'm going to use it in my next session. My PC's are going to find the druid, if they take the shorter road, through the forest, they will run into your little TwigStalker. (i was getting bored with wolves and bears anyway)
